A Fashionable Trait

Over the weekend, I went to the Toledo mall with some friends to feed my shopping addiction.  I went with $72 and a mission, which was to buy a long sleeved short black dress and an emerald green and gold necklace.  When I have a goal, I stick to it and nothing was going to stop me.  I searched every store and I finally found a necklace that met my vision, I even got emerald earrings to match.  However, I still wanted/needed a dress.  I went into the last store of our 4 HOUR trip and found the exact dress, it fit perfectly.  I also bought a fur vest and I know what you’re thinking…tacky right?  I’ll admit, it is a little out there, but it fits my unique style and it is very “Real Housewife of Beverly Hills.”  My friend mentioned that I was the most determined girl she has ever shopped with and that sparked an idea, determination is such an important trait to develop in college.shopping

Findlay has taught me to be a determined individual.  Whether it is in the classroom and determined to earn a good grade on my next exam, or determined to keep up my no sweat pants in college streak.  UF has a lot of resources to help drive your determination, such as small class sizes or the Academic Support Center, but it is really up to you as the student to want to succeed.  Findlay has many students that display the determination that will prepare them for a prosperous future, like how I am determined to not have my mom find out that I spent money on clothes.  Mom: if you are reading this, you can borrow everything, so don’t get mad!

Findlay Fashion Tip #4: Rock a fur vest!  They are a cute way to add a unique twist to any outfit and keep you warm.

Don’t worry Sarah I am not mad. You work hard and deserve a treat now and then. Just don’t make a habit of it. Great article!!! I am so proud of you and so glad you are making the most of Findlay!!
